The multiple plots of vines offer a variation of 16 terroir units on which Chenin, for the white and Pineau d'Aunis for rosé and red, take what they need.
Clay soil shelters the best area for red.
Delving for centuries into clay and flint subsoil, the Chenin reflects the subtleties of geology. When mature, the wines gently show them off, with finesse, elegance and aromatic richness.
The soils are ploughed and flora grows spontaneaously. The small vine spaces get along with a varied and rich environment.
Disease control is minimalist, thinking and action are based on regular observation in the vineyard. Organic certified in 2005, the whole estate is managed with biodynamic concept since 2008.
The wines issued from young or old vines (vines over 80 years old) result from the bleding of the different soils vinified separately in medium and big barrels. They age in caves hewn from the rock itself during 12 to 20 months before their bottling.
Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir white appellations use exclusively Chenin grape variety.
Our rosé and red wines in Coteaux du Loir are issued from 100% Pineau d'Aunis, historically one of the oldest red grape variety in the Loire Valley.
Our wines reveal nice fruity and floral aromas when they are young. Depending on vintages, they often age a vey long time.
